The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) identified various private-sector strategies to scale-up intercropping.
“Initial applications of intercropping have been promising, demonstrating the method’s potential,” said Sumer Sharma, EIU Research Analyst. “Because efforts have been small-scale so far, potentially significant benefits are yet to be realized.”
